Main duties of the job

Join the N&N Hospitals Charity as Assistant Charity Accountant and play a key role in supporting our financial management to help improve services for patients, staff and visitors.

You will assist with processing grants, donations and income, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end processes and helping to ensure compliance with charity regulations and financial procedures.

We are looking for someone with strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. You should be working towards an accountancy qualification such as AAT, have good IT skills, particularly in Excel, and be able to communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders. An understanding of confidentiality, professionalism and customer service is essential.

  • Determining the correct coding and processing route for grants, donations, invoices and income received.
  • Identifying discrepancies within financial records and reconciling balances, taking appropriate action to resolve routine issues.
